Bank of Babylon won the Excellence Award in Banking Risk Management at a ceremony held in Amman, Jordan under the theme of Innovation and Excellence for Financial Institutions and Entrepreneurship 2017.
The award was received by the Director of Risk Management of Babil Bank, Hisham Khalid Abbas. The award is awarded through a study of the overall performance and its conformity with the standards applied by the Research Department in the Union in cooperation with specialized arbitration institutions in this field for excellence in risk management and continuous development.
The Bank of Babylon is the first bank to receive this award from among the banks operating in Iraq, and consists of the Iraqi banking system of 70 banks, including seven government banks, one of which is a newly established Islamic.
