The Central Bank of Iraq’s foreign exchange sales rose to $ 123.16 million on Wednesday, compared to $ 112.1 million on Tuesday, an increase of $ 11.06 million, the central bank said in a statement.
The central bank said in its statement that the exchange rate reached 1190 dinars per dollar in the auction held with the participation of 38 banks and 9 companies for financial transfer.
The bank said the sales were the result of the auction scheduled for Thursday, explaining that the total sales for the day amounted to about 140.06 million dollars.
Amounts sold to strengthen bank balances abroad were about $ 122.64 million, while the amount of cash sold was estimated at $ 1.52 million.
The Central Bank said in a statement that the sale of the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad is at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price.
