The Minister of Transport, Captain Kazem Venjan Al-Hamami, arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, at the head of the Iraqi delegation to the Transport, Border and Ports Committee within the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Committee, accompanied by the Head of the Border Crossing Authority Mr. Kazem Mohammed and the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Construction, Eng. Salam Jabr and General Manager of Land Transport Mr. Imad Al Assadi.
Al-Hamami held an extensive meeting with the Saudi Minister of Transport, Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi, during which he reviewed the basic requirements for the work of ports, railways and road transport through border crossings with Saudi Arabia.
The Iraqi delegation will present with Saudi officials all visions and ideas that will strengthen relations between the two countries and complete the procedures of opening the various transport lines between them.
Al-Hamami pointed out that all the paragraphs of the report will be presented with the Saudi side, which were mentioned in the minutes of the first meeting of the committee and activate them and take the necessary decisions.
