The oil and energy parliamentary committee demanded the need to have a real direction towards the implementation of the extension of oil pipelines to a new direction and not to maintain specific routes to prevent the vulnerability internally and externally.
The head of the oil and energy parliamentary committee Ali al-Bahadli said in an interview that Iraq depends on the export of oil according to the first two lines across the Gulf through floating platforms and the second through Turkey, and this is a danger that the government should be warned of it being affected by the security and political conditions of the region.
Al-Bahadli added that the Ministry of Oil has sought to implement two additional lines to diversify oil exports through the Saudi and Jordanian countries. This is a step in the right direction and should be accelerated, implemented and not backed up.
