The United States of America has invited the Association of Private Banks to participate in a US-Arab banking conference in New York at the Federal Reserve’s headquarters on October 16.
The head of the Association of Iraqi Private Banks, Wadih al-Hanalal, said that during our meeting with US Ambassador Douglas Sulliman in Baghdad, he invited the Association of Private Banks to participate in an Arab-American banking conference in New York on October 16, adding that the door is open to all Iraqi banks To participate in the conference within the delegation that will represent the country.
He pointed out that the Minister of Economic Affairs at the US Embassy Larry Mimot called for the Association of Private Banks to visit its headquarters and explain the details of the conference to all Iraqi banks, explaining that the Central Bank called on private banks to hold a meeting to unify the views on dealing with correspondent banks and put them at the next meeting in the United States.
He said that this conference will contribute significantly to strengthen the relationship between Iraqi and US banks, which have a primary in dealing with Iraq, which reflects positively on the work of banks.
The Union of Arab Banks will organize the largest Arab-American banking gathering in New York at the US Federal Reserve on October 16, 2017. The dinner will be attended by 500 bankers in cooperation with ABANA.
