The Directorate of Border Ports announced on Tuesday the arrival of a convoy of 100 trucks to Trebil as a “practical exercise.”
The Directorate said in a statement that “in preparation for the opening of the port of Trebil border and the purpose of knowledge of the adequacy of the international road and the readiness of the frontier to receive passengers and trucks, the Prime Minister to conduct a practical exercise through the running of a convoy of 100 trucks belonging to the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Commerce.
The statement added that “the port manager announced the arrival of the convoy and the readiness of the port and the operating departments to provide all the required services.”
The Council of Anbar province, announced on (20 August 2017), the reopening of the port of Trebil border with Jordan experimentally, indicating that this was a prelude to the official opening.
