The border crossings announced on Sunday the launch of two new ports with Iran to boost trade.
“Iraq and Iran will open new border crossings before Imam al-Hussein’s 40th visit to promote trade,” said Sudanese border director Sami al-Sudani.
He added that “the first port is located in the province of Wasit and the second outlet in the province of Maysan,” noting that “Iraq has 12 border ports in addition to the two airports are Basra and Najaf, while Baghdad airport under the control of the Ministry of Transport.”
