Thomson Reuters reported that the Neverland carrier had re-emerged off the coast of Malta after it disappeared from radars near Canada on June 30 when Vitol hired it to transport oil from the Kurdistan region.
The carrier was heading to eastern Canada to unload the cargo at the end of June when the Canadian Federal Court issued a reservation order on the shipment at the request of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.
According to the ship tracking system, the tanker looks empty.
