The Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak, a project to link oil and gas Kurdistan Black Sea, pointing out that Turkey will not provide to stop the pipeline in Kurdistan.
The Russian oil company “Rosneft” mid-last month that it intends to sign with the Government of Kurdistan of Iraq an agreement on financing the construction of gas pipelines in the region until the end of this year.
“Russian oil companies have a project to transport Kurdistan oil and gas to the Black Sea, and we are determined to do so,” Novak said in an interview.
“This is a confirmation that Turkey will not offer to close the oil spout.”
The Kurdistan region exports its oil to international markets through a pipeline that passes through the port of Ceyhan in Turkey by more than half a million barrels per day. Turkish officials have threatened to close the pipeline because Erbil has been holding a referendum on independence from Iraq.
But the Russian president warned against taking the step and its impact on global markets.
Turkey has announced on the lips of Foreign Minister Mouloud Zhaoshoglu a different position, that his country will not provide for the closure of the oil pipeline from Kurdistan only at the request of Baghdad.
It is noteworthy that the company “Ross Oil” and Kurdistan Iraq on the sidelines of the Petersburg International Economic Forum, held in Russia in early June, on a number of agreements on the expansion of cooperation between them.
