The Ministry of Oil, that the Kurdistan region controls two oil fields from the oil fields in Kirkuk.
“The Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan region controls two oil fields in Kirkuk while the North Oil Company controls more than one oil field,” Oil Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said in an interview.
He added that “these fields were damaged because of the cessation of pumping operations in addition to stopping the refinery Baiji production after being destroyed by terrorist gangs,” noting that “the government’s decision to establish a new oil pipeline for the export of oil is binding for all.”
He pointed out that “North oil and pipelines began to prepare for the reconstruction of the old pipeline that exports oil through Turkey, bypassing the Kurdistan region.”
