Rafidain Bank, called its branches in Baghdad and the provinces on Monday to encourage citizens to deposit their money in the bank instead of hoarding them in the houses.
“Specific mechanisms have been put in place to provide the best and widest banking services and to overcome obstacles to the citizens and gain their trust,” the bank’s press office said in a statement.
The statement added that “the bank’s cash deposits contribute to the continuous improvement of the level of financial services and thus the entry into the financial and economic cycle of the country and benefit the citizen and the bank.”
