The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced Thursday that passenger traffic worldwide increased 7.6 percent in February in terms of revenue per passenger kilometers.
IATA said aircraft capacity (measured in kilometers of available seats) increased 6.3 percent in February and that the load factor rose 0.9 percentage points to 80.4 percent.
The EU’s chief executive said rising fuel prices and labor costs in some countries would likely reduce the stimulus from falling ticket prices.
