The general index of the Iraqi Stock Exchange closed Thursday, up 0.36%, closing at 576.58 points, winning 2.07 points, compared to levels of closure on Wednesday.
The performance of the index was supported by the rise in bank shares, with NCB gaining 6.25%, Commercial Bank up 2.5% and Investment Bank gaining 2.22%.
The shares of hotels contributed to support the index of the Iraqi market today, where the Hotel Babil rose by 3.33%.
On the other hand, 8 shares declined, Al Bilad Islamic Bank advanced by 9.52%, and Metal for Tourists declined 5.71% and Islamic Bank declined 5.08%.
The volume of trading today to 384.51 million shares, compared to 1.54 billion shares, the previous session, and decreased the value of trading today to reach 461.88 million dinars, compared to 711.77 million dinars in yesterday’s session.
Sumer was the most active volume with today’s volume of 198.05 million shares, valued at KD 170.14 million.
