Najaf International Airport witnessed the decline of more than 550 flights in the first five of the month of October.
The airport operations manager, Captain Ali Khalil, said in a statement that the number of flights reached more than 550 flights from the date of 1/11/2017 to the day 5/11/2017 carrying more than 150 thousand passengers came to perform the ceremony to visit the quartet of Imam Hussein ( Peace be upon him) from different countries of the world. ”
Khalil added that “the new airport after the expansion witnessed by able to accommodate these numbers and more.”
Najaf International Airport has witnessed extensive expansion of its various routes, starting with the arrival and departure terminals and the flight yard, as well as the Zugan Airport and the observation tower, making it able to accommodate more than 8 million passengers annually.
