The Minister of Transport and Communications in the Kurdistan Region Mouloud Oahu Mouradi on Saturday that the expenses of airports Erbil and Sulaymaniyah international more than their financial revenues.
“The two airports were built by the government of the region and it believes in its needs and have nothing to do with the federal government,” said Pawah Murad in Kamla during a meeting hosted by the Parliament of Kurdistan in today’s session, adding that the expenses of the two airports are more than their financial revenues.
He added that the nature of the airports are different from all institutions, they have a national link and belong to the Civil Aviation Authority of Iraq and we are committed to the supervision and instructions of that authority.
He continued that all Iraqi airspace and any air flight does not land at the airports of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah without receiving notification from the Civil Aviation Authority and is fully aware of the movement of the air around the clock, pointing out that there is no sense to any supervision and control and the decision of the Federal Government has no place to Expressions.
