The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced that it has decided to ban the import of poultry and birds of all kinds from 39 countries.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said in a press statement that “it was decided to ban the import of poultry and birds of the living, frozen, and carpentry and adornment, as well as eggs, tableware, hatching, bird feathers and all materials entering poultry or products in the installation of 39 countries.”
The United States of America, the United Kingdom, Ghana, North Korea, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Libya, Myanmar, Egypt, Mexico, Niger, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Nepal, Nigeria, Hong Kong, France, Toko, Cameroon, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Uganda, Bangladesh, Italy, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United States, Tennessee, Zimbabwe, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Congo and Vietnam.
“The ban is based on the recent update of the World Health Organization (OIE), the epidemiological position of avian flu,” she said.
