The Committee on the border crossings in the Basra Governorate Council, on Saturday, the federal government and concerned parties to apply laws that facilitate and contribute to attract traders and suppliers of goods, to enter their goods through the ports of Basra border, especially after the controversy over the closure of border crossings in northern Iraq.
“The federal government and the ministries of finance and interior, in addition to the Customs Authority and the Directorate of border ports, work on the implementation of laws that facilitate the entry of merchants to their goods through the ports of Basra, which said it is ready to receive goods and enter into the regions of the center and the south.”
Al-Shomani said, “the readiness of his committee to contribute to attract merchants from the center and south to enter their goods through the border crossings in Basra after they enter through the north of Iraq.”
