Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Wednesday the government’s efforts to open the Arar border crossing for commercial purposes. He also announced the formation of a high committee to follow up the investment projects and remove the obstacles that prevent its implementation.
“The opening of Trebil with Jordan is a great achievement with good economic consequences,” Abbadi said at his weekly press conference. “We are trying to open the Arar border crossing for commercial purposes.”
Abadi said that “the formation of a high committee to follow up investment projects and remove obstacles to their implementation,” noting that “the Council of Ministers formed a special committee to follow up projects funded by the British loan.”
