Turkish construction companies generate revenues of $ 24.827 billion in Iraq

A report by the Ministry of Economy of Turkey, the realization of Turkish construction companies revenues amounted to 14.7 billion dollars from 241 projects implemented outside the country during the last year, noting that Iraq has achieved revenues exceeded 24.827 billion dollars.
According to the report, construction companies have carried out more than 9,258 projects worth $ 354.65 billion in 119 different countries since 1972.
In terms of regional distribution, the largest number of such projects have been implemented in the Commonwealth States of the former Soviet Union and the Middle East.
Since 1972, Russia has witnessed the largest number of Turkish projects, accounting for 19.4 per cent of total projects carried out by Turkish companies abroad, worth about 68.788 billion dollars, followed by Turkmenistan with a share of 13.2 per cent, equivalent to about 46.844 billion dollars.
Libya ranked third with 8.1 per cent, with projects valued at $ 28.875 billion, while Iraq ranked fourth, with a share of 7 per cent, or $ 24.827 billion.
